In an increasingly artificial world, the emergence of organic cosmetics has proven enormously popular.  The Body Shop started the revolution of ethical business models over 20 years ago, with those models now being replicated the world over.

Why should I go organic?

Organic cosmetics manufacturers promise the consumer that their products are free from harmful man made chemical whose long-term effects, they claim, are unknown and potentially dangerous.

By utilising substances found in nature, manufacturers claim that we are not only behaving as nature, rather than man, intended, but are also contributing to a cleaner eco-system.

I’m convinced.  How do I know what to buy

Unfortunately, there are many manufacturers who claim to be producing organic products when, quite frankly, the closest they come to being organic is their ability to spell the word.

The only guarantee, within Australia, that you are purchasing an organic product is labeling on the product that it is Australian Certified Organic.  This is your guarantee that the manufacturer’s processing facilities are in agreeance with international standards.

For more information on certification, please see Organic where more detailed information is available.
